Everyone get out and garden as much as you can!  It feels like we will have another tough summer.  Get that LVI installed so your plants will not suffer from drought should we experience another Summer of 2009 this year!
 

 
 
Meet the Teacher:
 
Angela lives in east Harris County near the San Jacinto River.  She gardens on a 1/2 acre typical suburban lot.  She is a lifelong hobby gardener.
 
Angela became a Master Gardener in 2000 and a Master Naturalist in 2001.  She holds Specialist Certifications in Plant Propagation, Entomology, Rainwater Harvesting and Greenhouse Management.  She is a Past-President of the Harris County Master Gardener Association and was the Texas State Master Gardener of the Year in 2004.  She currently serves on the Program Development Committee of the Habitat Highways Stewardship Program and volunteers with the WaterSmart Program.
 
Angela enjoys teaching a variety of garden subjects and co-authors a monthly gardening article in the Houston Chronicle, Real Estate Section.  Angela retired in 2007 as owner of a design-drafting firm that served the petro-chemical industry.  She has recently taken a position as consultant to Treesearch Farms, Inc.
