This is a new seed swap site set up for edible gardens.  Great idea - we all have seeds that would otherwise go to waste, and need seeds of open-pollinated veggies, herbs, and fruits.  I haven't participated in this site yet, so if any issues come up, please let me know.

How cool is this?  Go to this link to see when and where the Pick Your Own operations are in the greater Houston area.  We all need to support these operations and keep the new wave of family farms up and running!

This is a GREAT site!  If you are a wide-bed or square foot gardener, this will quickly become a favorite tool.  You can enter your bed dimensions, and then drag and drop crops to your heart's content.  The program will automatically enter the number of plants that will fit in that square foot area.  Need more of one crop?  Drag multiple squares.  After you have designed your bed, you can go the the bottom and click "Edit my plants" and change the name from just "cucumber" to the variety you intend to plant.  After you finish designing that garden, you can save and name it.  You can also print out your garden plan by clicking "Generate My Detailed Plan & Planting Guide".  Not only will you get your planting plan, but you will get planting and cultural instructions for each garden.  You can save your gardens as well.  Why not plan your succession for the entire year for each bed?
